Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my student needs SAT or ACT preparation?
Every student is different. During an initial consultation, I’ll discuss your student’s academic strengths, college goals, and testing timeline to determine whether the SAT, the ACT, or both exams are the best fit. Some students naturally perform better on one exam than the other.
When should my student begin preparing?
Students preparing for the PSAT should ideally begin during the spring/summer of sophomore year. Students preparing for the SAT or ACT should ideally begin during the spring/summer of sophomore or junior year. Students pursuing highly competitive scholarships or admission to selective colleges may benefit from beginning even earlier.
Do you offer one-on-one instruction or group classes?
Every ElitePREP® program is taught one-on-one. Each lesson is personalized to the student’s individual strengths, goals, and learning style.
Can students focus on only one section of the exam?
Yes. Students may enroll in a comprehensive SAT or ACT preparation program or choose a single-section program, such as SAT or ACT Math.
Are classes offered online?
No. ElitePREPTM instruction is offered in-person only, allowing for maximum interaction, immediate feedback, and a distraction-free learning environment.
How long is an ElitePREPTM program?
Comprehensive SAT or ACT preparation programs consist of 10 one-on-one classes. Single-section programs consist of 7 one-on-one classes.
Should my student take both the SAT and the ACT?
Not necessarily. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your student’s academic strengths, college goals, and testing timeline to determine which exam—or combination of exams—is the best fit.
In-person and remote options available.
